Tower crane fire in Singapore
A tower crane on an industrial park in Singapore burst into flames this morning after it was apparently struck by lightning during a storm.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was called out, a number of fire fighters climbed the crane’s tower to the superstructure and managed to extinguish the fire an extinguisher.
The crane's operator was eating his lunch in the cab when the electric circuits caught fire, he quickly left the cab and climbed down. No one was hurt in the incident.
