Liebherr has promoted Simon Schuster to divisional director of mobile and crawler cranes USA.

In his new role he will be responsible for managing and overseeing sales, spare part distribution and customer services, taking over from Pierre Bilgeri who has left the company to become chief executive of Austrian machinery manufacturer Wintersteiger, having served in the role since taking over from Daniel Pitzer in March 2020.
An engineer by education, Schuster joined Liebherr Ehingen as a sales trainee in 2018 and was later promoted to regional sales manager with responsibility for the US and Canada, a role he has held for nearly six years.

Schuster said: “I am honoured to have been entrusted with the responsibility of managing the mobile and crawler crane division and look forward to the future with our US customers and employees with a healthy dose of respect and an even greater dose of anticipation.”
Kai Friedrich, managing director of Liebherr USA added: “Simon brings extensive knowledge and experience of the US market, having worked closely with both the US team and customers over an extended period through his responsibilities in Ehingen. His expertise will continue to drive the sales growth of the mobile and crawler crane divisions, as well as the service organisation in the USA."
