California based manufacturer MEC has appointed Matt Lyons as senior national accounts manager.
His responsibilities will include building on the company’s partnerships with North America’s major rental companies.

He joins the company after a year with Italian telehandler manufacturer Magni where he was chief sales officer. He began his equipment related career in 2003 with rental company Time savers, where he became general manager. After more than 10 years with the company he made the move to a manufacture joining Skyjack, where he was to become vice president of sales for North America. Towards the end of 2024, after more than 11 years with the Canadian manufacturer, he made the move to Magni.
Vice president of North American sales Paul Waller said: “We are proud to bring a person of Matt’s calibre to the MEC team. Our continued growth and expansion demand an increased level of collaboration and strategic planning with our customers. Matt’s industry knowledge, relationships, and professionalism will serve MEC and our customers very well.”
Lyons added: “It’s great to get back with an aerial work platform manufacturer. MEC’s scissor lifts, boom lifts, and vertical platform lifts are well received by end users and safety professionals and are becoming a core offering for North American rental companies. I look forward to representing these innovative, leading edge products and the company."
