AB2000 relocates

UK crane and heavy equipment rental company AB2000 has relocated its Inverness depot to larger premises nearby Nairn, Scotland.

Located on the Balmakeith industrial estate, the larger premises feature a purpose-built workshop and offices. The company has also added a number of new machines to its fleet, including Hiab loader cranes, dumpers and rollers.

Glasgow based AB2000 is one of Scotland’s largest independent rental companies and opened its first northern Scottish depot in 2013 near Inverness. This was shortly followed by the acquisition of Ellon Plant (see: AB2000 acquires Ellon) which then relocated to a new depot in Ellon, near Aberdeen. AB2000 currently employs over 60 people in the north of Scotland and has been steadily expanding throughout the area since 2013.

AB2000 northern area manager David Christie, said: “Due to recent growth and significant new contracts in and around the area we have outgrown our depot in Inverness. Finding larger premises was a must to efficiently service our operations here in the North of Scotland.”
