Fatal fall

A man died yesterday after falling from an aerial work platform at the Seafrigo cold storage facility in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

We only have the most basic of details on this incident at this point, apart from the statement that the man fell a few metres from a cherry picker and was declared dead at the scene. He was 40 years old. While it looks as if this is what happened in this case, we know from the past that the first reports from the scene can be highly distorted and, for example, it can take a while for the real facts to emerge.
