10,000th used Liebherr

Australian rental company MCG Cranes has taken delivery of a 350 tonne Liebherr LTM 1350-6.1 All Terrain crane, the 10,000th used crane to be supplied by Liebherr Ehingen.

The LTM 1350-6.1 features a 70 metre main boom, plus 78 metre luffing jib and 140 tonnes of counterweight. It is now the largest All Terrain crane in MCG’s fleet, and will be used for erecting and dismantling its tower cranes. The company has also ordered a remote control to operate the crane with a dolly.

MCG co-owner Glenn Martin said: “The design of the ballast and the Y-guying to increase the lifting capacity convinced us of the quality of the LTM 1350-6.1 from the very start.”

Liebherr Australia used crane manager Tom Grady added: “We were able to work very well with Mick, Glenn and Danny from the outset. The decision to buy the used crane was made very quickly and all three provided us with great support from the beginning to the delivery.”
