French tower crane anti collision specialist SMIE, has appointed Nick Palfrey as chief marketing officer.
The appointment is part of a new strategy in which the company intends to increase its focus on servicing its customers and to boost the company’s profile. Palfrey joined the company in November from the UK operation of immersive learning and virtual reality company Viion, where he was head of commercial. He began his career early in 2011 with virtual reality company Real Visual which designs and markets software products within the architecture, engineering, and construction markets, he became chief executive, leaving in 2015 to establish virtual reality company Inside Infinity group.
Smie chief executive Jean-Charles Delplace said: “Nick Palfrey joins the leadership team at Smie with significant achievements to date within the field of emerging technologies and change management.
