New COO for Franklin Equipment

Ohio based sales and rental company Franklin Equipment has promoted Tony Repeta to chief operating officer.

Repeta was previously general manager having joined the company from Sunbelt Rentals in 2008, at which time he also bought into the business, joining president Tom Richardson chief executive Troy Gabriel and Gary Gabriel in the ownership team.

He began his rental career in 1991 as a dispatcher with Sam’s Equipment Rental, moving to NationsRent in 1997 where he was appointed as a district manager and remained with the business when NationRents was acquired by Sunbelt in 2006. He left for Franklin two years later.

Based in Columbus, Ohio Franklin operates from six locations in Ohio, two in Indiana, three in Wisconsin, two in Kentucky and three in Tennessee. It sells Skyjack booms, scissor lifts and telehandlers and runs fleet that includes booms, scissors, spider / atrium lifts and low level platforms, along with telehandlers and general construction equipment.
