UK rental company PP Engineering Crane Hire has taken delivery of a 100 tonne Demag AC 100-4L All Terrain crane, with a 45 tonne AC 45 City All Terrain crane on order.
The four axle AC 100-4L has a 59.4 metre main boom, plus a 10 to 19 metre bi-fold swingaway extension for a maximum tip height of 81.7 metres. It replaces an older AC 100-4L model in the company’s fleet and has already been involved on a night project where it replaced gantry signs on a motorway.
The AC 45 has a 31.2 metre main boom and can telescope loads of up to 19.7 tonnes. A 7.1 to 13 metre offsettable extension takes the maximum on board tip height to over 45 metres.
Owner Philip Patching said: “We have a great relationship with the team at Terex Cranes too, and know this new unit will deliver the same outstanding return on investment that our first two units have.”
Demag/Terex regional sales manager Andrew Snow added: “It has been a pleasure working with Phillip and his team, and we look forward to continuing to serve their organisation.”
Established by 1980, PP Engineering Crane Hire is based in Rotherham, northern England. It runs a fleet of All Terrain and pick & carry cranes.
