450t Liebherr for MSG

German heavy lift and haulage company MSG Krandienst has taken delivery of a 450 tonne Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 All Terrain crane.

The eight axle LTM 1450-8.1 can travel complete with its 85 metre main boom, along with outriggers and hoist within 12 tonne axle loads. MSG will primarily use the LTM 1450-8.1 for plant construction, erecting construction cranes, wind turbines and port handling work.

Managing director Björn Jatz said: “The new crane superbly combines the benefits of a long main boom with the power of a crane in the 500 tonne class within the short radius range. The fast setup time of the LTM 1450-8.1 beats anything else in the eight axle segment as it is the only crane which can be driven on public roads without having to remove crane components such as the outriggers.”

“Because it can be used so flexibly, the LTM 1450-8.1 supports the versatility of our company. Its variable axle loads to comply with different national regulations make it significantly easier for us to plan jobs. The reliability, quality and good handling of Liebherr cranes also made up our minds. Then there is also the very good service and the fact that the products hold their value so well.”
