400 machines for Star Platforms

UK rental company Star Platforms has ordered 400 new aerial lifts in an investment worth £2 million.

The new equipment will be shared across each of the company’s five depots, including its new depot in Thetford, Norfolk. It will take the company’s rental fleet to 1,500 - double the fleet that the company had two years ago.

Managing director Richard Miller said: “We will also be looking to add more staff and invest in more platforms, delivery vehicles and service vehicles over the next year, dependant on demand.”

Established in 2014, Star Platforms is headquartered in Luton, Bedfordshire with additional depots in Leicestershire, Berkshire, Kent and Thetford. The company employs 64.
