Terex boom truck for US contractor

US roofing and sheet metal contractor Elmer W. Davis has taken delivery of a 25.4 tonne Terex BT 28106 boom truck.

The BT 28106 features a 32.3 metre main boom and a 9.1 to 14.3 metre extension, giving a maximum tip height of 49.4 metres. It will be the ninth Terex crane and the fourth BT 28106 in the company’s fleet. The crane was delivered by US Terex dealer Empire Crane Company, and its first job will be installing roofing at a supermarket in Fairmount, New York.

Fleet manager Carl Benson said: “The boom length, and jib length, fits our roofing needs. The rapid mobility of a boom truck makes things a lot easier and we don’t have to worry about transportation or setup and take down time.”
