Loxam to acquire Hune

Loxam has started negotiations with shareholders of Spanish access rental company Hune to acquire the business. See So who is buying Hune?

Hune is Spain’s second largest rental company with annual revenues of €70 million, of which €67 million are in Europe. The company has about 35 locations in Spain and 600 employees with an overall equipment fleet said to be in the region of 18,000 units. Loxam already has 14 locations in Spain, but if the deal were to go through, would add Hune’s rental businesses in Portugal and France as well as its joint ventures in Saudi Arabia and Colombia.

Loxam has said that the deal is expected to conclude before the end of the year, subject to the signing of a share purchase agreement and the satisfaction of certain conditions.

Loxam said: “The potential integration of Hune within Loxam will help Hune to continue its development and give it the benefit of the support of a solid industrial shareholder, solely dedicated to the equipment rental business."
