New regional manager at Manitex

Manitex, owner of Valla PM, Oil & Steel and Little Giant cranes, has appointed Jerry Monahan as western regional business manager.

Monahan joins Manitex after 13 years as after sales support manager with boom truck and platform competitor Elliott Equipment. He began his career in 1989 with National Crane - a division of Grove manufacturing - as an associate test engineer. Six years later he moved to the Manitowoc as a field service representative. Manitowoc was obliged to sell its Manitex boom truck line in 2003, after acquiring Grove/National Crane in 2003. Monahan remained with Manitex as a product support representative, leaving to join Elliott two years later.
