Bucket truck failure

A linesman in Minnesota was seriously injured last week following an apparent structural failure of the platform he was working from.

The man Grant Wenker, 30, an employee of Stearns Electric Association, was working on deactivated power lines last Friday, when - according to the company - the “boom arm became detached” and he fell from the bucket to the ground below. There has been no mention of whether he was wearing a harness at the time and so far we have received no photography from the scene.

A week later he is still in a critical condition at an intensive care unit in Minneapolis.
