Leguan expands Baltic coverage

Finnish aerial lift manufacturer Leguan Lifts has appointed a new Latvian based company 'Equipment Provider' as its distributor for Latvia and Lithuania.

Equipment Provider was set up earlier this year in Riga, and in March it recruited Edijs Utmans as sales project manager - he was previously a sales representative at Balti Tehnika Serviss. The company aims to cover all three Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. In addition to Leguan, Equipment Provider also offers LGMG booms and scissor lifts, alongside Ausa telehandlers.

Equipment Provider is working closely with the leading Latvian equipment rental Storent and operates from the same premises in Riga. Storent is one of the largest rental companies in the Baltics, with 26 locations across the region. The company is a 50/50 joint venture between Andris Pavlovs' company Supremo SIA and EEKI SIA which is owned by Eri Esta. The company has started selling bonds to fund further expansion, and recently took delivery of six new Leguan spider lifts.

Leguan Lifts has been manufacturing self propelled access platforms for 30 years beginning as ‘High Set Tecno’. The first spider lift was launched in 1994 with the first tracked lift launched in 2000. In 2005, the company was acquired by Avant Tecno Group and in 2010 began manufacturing models between 13 and 19 metres.
