Genie confirms Lee Edwards promotion

Terex AWP/Genie has promoted Lee Edwards to regional sales and distribution network manager for the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Edwards joined the company six months ago as southern territory sales and dealer manager in the UK. See Genie adds to UK sales team Prior to that he spent nine years with JLG, followed by a couple of years in the UK rental market.

Based in Grantham, UK, he reports directly to Jacco de Kluijver vice president sales and marketing for Europe, Africa and the Middle East region. In his new role he is responsible for national accounts in the UK and Ireland while managing the UK and Ireland sales team. He replaces John Chandler who left the company late last year.

Speaking of the appointment de Kluijver said: “As I told Lee, we have never seen such a fast promotion in our company, but it is all well deserved. In the short time that he has been with us, Lee has demonstrated a professionalism, strong business acumen and in-depth understanding of our market and industry culture that is valued by our customers and team.
