Big Manitou for Kurth

German crane and access rental company Kurth Autokranes has taken delivery of a new 86ft Manitou 280TJ telescopic boom lift.

The new lift features a short rising pivot point, three section telescopic boom and two section telescopic articulated jib to provide a 28 metre working height. Kurth says that its decision to purchase the machine was largely down to the 280TJ’s combination of working height, outreach and manoeuvrability.

Established in 1999 Kurth Autokranes is based in Blankenheim and runs a fleet of mobile cranes, aerial lifts and heavy transportation equipment.

Managing director Marcel Kurth said: "With the Manitou 280TJ telescopic platform we are expanding the top end of our working platform range in terms of reach. It is an absolute all-rounder with an exceptionally large work area envelope. Its maximum manoeuvrability was also a factor for us.”
