250 Hiab cranes for India

Hiab has received an order for 250 units of its 088 loader cranes from Ashok Leyland for the Indian army.

Deliveries are due to start next month with completion scheduled for October. The eight tonne articulated cranes will be mounted on Ashok Leyland Super Stallion 8x8 High Mobility Vehicles/trucks which have been specially configured for desert environments. They form part of a supply contract for the Inidian army’s logistics fleet.

The latest follows Tata Motors India order for 1,200 Hiab loader cranes as part of another contract to supply to the Indian army in August last year.
