Telehandler demolition

A reader from Italy has sent in an image of a man attempting to knock down a building using a combination of excavator and telehandler.

We are not told where or when the picture was taken, however it clearly shows the man sat in an mini excavator fitted with a hydraulic drill, which has been lifted to a height of five or six metres in a roofer’s work platform attached to a 360-degree Manitou telehandler.

We cannot tell whether the excavator tracks are strapped to the platform, although it looks as though it is relying on gravity and luck. Other obvious issues include the possibility of the telehandler overturning, inadvertent operation of the controls, the excavator falling from the platform, and the wall/building collapsing.
