More spiders for Macao
The Galaxy Hotel in Macao, China has taken delivery of a 29 metre Falcon FS290 and a 37 metre Falcon FS370 wheeled spider lift from Danish manufacturer TCA Lift, following the purchase of a 57 metre FS520C in 2012 – see:
52 metre Falcon for China. The hotel has also taken delivery of a 22 metre Bluelift C22 tracked spider lift.
The new machines will be used to assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the €2.2 billion hotel complex which has 2,200 rooms, more than 50 restaurants, 450 gaming tables and an artificial beach. Work is currently underway to add a JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton hotel to the complex, which will increase the number of rooms by 3,600 and the number of casino tables by a further 500.
TCA Lift sales manager Brain Schmidt, said: “We are very proud of this second delivery of Falcon spiders to this huge complex. Very strict demands to access, reach, and ground pressure were required to the platform, and the Falcon spider was chosen due to its high working height, long outreach, light ground pressure as well as its compact design.”
