Zuidnatie takes Model 8s

Antwerp terminal operator Zuidnatie has taken delivery of two Terex Gottwald Model 8 mobile harbour cranes from Terex Port Solutions.

The 200 tonne G HMK 8710 cranes feature hybrid drives and have been installed with the Terex Gottwald tandem lift system which allows a single operator to perform heavy tandem lifts up to 400 tonnes. They have also been equipped with the company’s Visumatic Remote Assistance and Crane Data System (CDS) which provide local service staff or Terex technical engineers remote access to, amongst others, production and diagnosis data.

Zuidnatie chief executive Marcel Dubourg, said: “With the Model 8 cranes, our fleet is not only becoming more powerful but also more flexible. And because both cranes in combination can deal with loads up to 400 tonne, we are also in the position to offer our customers new handling solutions.”
