New MD for Eve

The Eve Trakway division of Ashtead has appointed Nigel Quinn as managing director, replacing Rick Barnett who is leaving.

Quinn joined the company after a short spell with Intertruck, having previously spent almost three years with Elliot Modular - the cabin rental business. Prior to that he was with GE Plant/GE Capital for seven years as general manager of its equipment rental business. He started with Eve late last year.

Quinn said: "I am delighted to be joining Eve at such an important point in its history and I am very much looking forward to developing the company further, building upon and adding to the successes that have been enjoyed so far. Eve is currently in a fantastic position and is a credit to its previous owners. I am confident that its ambitious growth plans can be realised through the continued dedication of its staff and the additional support and investment from A-Plant."

Barnett, who remains with the business during a transition period, added: "Although I am sad to be leaving Eve, I am extremely optimistic about the company's future and I am confident that I am leaving it in very safe hands. Nigel possesses all the skills needed to take Eve forward into the next stage of its exceptional development. His proven ability to drive growth and value will be a valuable asset."
