40 tonne Valla for Mielly

French transport and installation company Mielly Transport Manutention has taken delivery of a new 40 tonne Valla 400E battery powered pick & carry crane.

The new crane has a number of special features, including a fully removable counterweight and a special four section boom that can take 7.4 tonnes to a point seven metres out from the front bumper and offers a maxim height under hook of 10 metres at which it can lift 16 tonnes.

The company, founded in 1974 to transport fork lift trucks, operates from locations in Lyon and Grenoble and purchased its first Valla, a special 75 E with removable counterweight in the 1990’s. More recently it added a standard 12 tonne Valla 120E.
