St Peter Port takes two

Guernsey, UK based St. Peter Port Harbour has taken delivery of a HMK 170 E mobile harbour crane from Terex Port Solutions with plans to take delivery of a second MHK 170 later this year.

The compact HMK 170 has a 63 tonne maximum lifting capacity and a maximum radius of 38 metres. It is predicted that the two cranes will handle up to 50,000 tonnes of container freight per year.

St. Peter Port is currently undergoing a £13.75 million refurbishment of its freight handling facilities. Terex Port Solutions was responsible for the demolition of a quayside portal crane and a 32 tonne derrick crane. Upon the delivery of the second MHK 170 it will also demolish a final two cranes.
