Why did the trailer lift cross the road?

We have received pictures from a reader in Germany which show a man operating a trailer lift in a less than safe manner.

The articulated trailer lift, which is being used to carry out work on a house, has been set up completing blocking the pavement and half of the road. It is obvious that there is no traffic or pedestrian management or even cones to warn passing drivers.

Although it appears to be a quiet street, in both pictures cars are passing by and all it would take is for a car to clip the machines tow bar or outrigger to cause a serious accident.

To make matters worse the man in the platform does not appear to be wearing a harness and lanyard, so if a collision was to happen he would inevitably be thrown out.

Definitely a Death Wish.
