Huisman to build in Brazil

Dutch based heavy lift and offshore specialist Huisman has announced plans to build a new production facility in Brazil.

The new 15,000 square metre production facility will be located alongside the river Itajai-Açu in the city of Navegantes, Santa Catarina on the Atlantic seaboard and will manufacture equipment for the Brazilian offshore market. A 200 metre long quay side with an artificial bay to protect ships from seasonal high currents is planned for the next phase of development.

With the quayside in place, the facility will be easily accessible for seagoing vessels, allowing for fast installation, commissioning and testing of the Huisman designed and built offshore equipment.
