Atlas Cranes appoints sales manager

Germany loader crane manufacturer Altas Cranes has appointed Jason Lowthorpe as the UK regional sales manager for the North West and West Midlands of England.

Working out of the company’s Bradford depot he will join Jon Cooper, existing regional sales manager, to complete the company’s coverage of the midlands and the north of England. They both report directly to Jim Smith based in Motherwell, Scotland.

Lowthorpe moves into the sales role after spending 20 years on the engineering and technical side of the business initially as a field service engineer and later workshop supervisor.

Jim Smith, managing director of Atlas, said: “Jason brings to his new job a wealth of loader crane experience. Having spent the last seven years supervising the repair, maintenance and fitting of loader cranes, he knows loader cranes and speaks the language.
