EHS director for A-Plant

UK based A-Plant, one of the country's largest equipment rental companies, has appointed Douglas McLuckie to the new post of director of environment, health & safety and performance standards.

His appointment reflects the increased focus at A-Plant on improving safety standards in construction and other industries served by the company.

Douglas McLuckie


Douglas has spent 24 years in the environmental, health and safety (EHS) sector, and previously worked for the Laird Group, where he was responsible for global strategic environment, health and safety risk and worked extensively in the Far East, Europe and North America.

In his new position, Douglas is responsible for the development of strategic A-Plant performance standards and EHS plans and the preparation of appropriate health, safety and environmental systems in conjunction with the overall Ashtead Group EHS strategy.

Sat Dhaiwal, A-Plant’s chief executive officer said: “I am delighted that Douglas McLuckie has joined us to fulfil this very important role for A-Plant. We will benefit greatly from the wide experience and in-depth knowledge that he brings to his new position after 24 years in the EHS sector.”
