75m flagship for Orion

UK access rental company Orion Access has taken delivery of two 21 metre RA21 Easy Lift spider lifts, along with a 75 metre Socage 75TJJ truck mounted platform, its new flagship platform.

The new75m Socage 75TJJ


The RA21, launched at Bauma earlier this year, features a dual sigma riser mechanism topped by a three section boom and 1.8 metre jib with 90 degrees of articulation, providing a maximum working height of 20.4 metres, while the maximum outreach is almost 10 metres at an up & over height of nine metres with the unrestricted platform capacity of 230kg. Platform rotation is 160 degrees. The new machines were supplied through UK distributor IAS.

The spider lift handover


Mounted on a 32 tonne four axle Scania chassis, the Socage 75TJJ features a five section main boom plus four a section upper boom and short articulating jib providing an outreach of 40 metres, and a platform capacity of 600kg. The new platform was purchased with a 1,500kg winch and Socage's aluminium convertible platform that can be hydraulically extended from 2.3 to 3.5 metres wide.

We also offer IPAF Training here at Orion Access. Sadly probably won't be on any of these machines as we don't plan on them being at the depot enough to be available for training!
