New lifts from LGMG

Chinese aerial lift and telehandler manufacturer LGMG has unveiled three new products, including a new 183ft battery electric powered telescopic boom lift the T56JE-2, along with a 131ft articulated diesel boom lift - the AR42J-2 and the 78ft all electric Rough Terrain scissor lift - the SR2625E-2.

The star of the event was - says the company - the T56JE-2 which offers a maximum working height of 57.7 metres, a maximum outreach of 23.9 metres, and dual platform capacity of 300kg unrestricted and 450kg with an outreach cut out. Power comes from an 80 volt 840Ah lithium ion battery pack, with standard four wheel drive and steer.
The new boom lift

The company says that the new boom lift features a number of upgraded design concepts including a more rigid boom with reduced deflection, more compact container friendly dimensions, high torque permanent magnet synchronous motors which, it says significantly reduces energy consumption and a new dual charging system.

The new boom lift will initially be sold in China, with first deliveries due to get underway towards the end of this year and then rolled out market by market through 2026.

No news - the contractor clammed up from the start it also owned the rental company that supplied it.
.
The HSE is being even slower and less communicative than usual. We have seen live destrictive tests the manufacturer has done to try and replicate it - but withought being able to see the evidence or to receive information it will be hard to ascertain cause.
'
Hopefully we will learn more as we head towards the year end but we are not holding our breath.
.
It is pathetic - as there are valuable lessons to be learnt here... While the HSE takes its time to see if it can prosecute someone.
