MyCrane recruits in Saudi

Virtual crane rental company MyCrane has recruited two new team members in Saudi Arabia.

The company has appointed Syed Ahmed Salman as vice president sales, Middle East, and Syed Zulnoon Bukhari as director of business development for Saudi Arabia.

Syed Ahmed Salman joins MyCrane following three years in various positions, including commercial manager and head of rental at AIC Translift. He began his career as an assistant development manager for Suzuki, leaving after a year to join Arab Equipment, part of the Boodai group, where he spent six years as a sales engineer. In 2010 he moved to Demag overhead cranes as business development manager for the Western region of Saudi Arabia. Four and a half years later he was appointed as a regional manager for machinery manufacturer United Gulf, leaving in 2019 for a similar role with Byrne equipment rental departing after a year for AIC Translift.

Syed Zulnoon Bukhari has been on a career break since leaving Dexterity Industrial in 2022 where he was general manager in Jubail for the previous three and a half years. He began his career in retail with H Kareem Buksh in 2001, leaving after two years for Alsuwaidi Equipment & Transport, where he was appointed head of heavy transport and logistics. After 10 years in the role, he moved to Agility Logistics as head of transport, moving to Dexterity Industrial in 2019.

Chief executive Andrei Geikalo said: “We made a strategic decision to invest in Saudi, where the construction market is expected to record strong growth. The appointment of Salman and Bukhari allows us to go further and faster in the Kingdom, where we see major construction activity in all sectors and almost unlimited potential to grow the platform.”
