Entrapment fatality Switzerland

A man died in a scissor lift entrapment incident near Lucerne in Switzerland las wednesday -September 4th

As we understand it, the man was due to be plugging the unit in for an overnight charge when he accidently raised the platform instead of driving it into place, his neck caught between an overhead cable duct and the guardrail of the lift, a 20ft Haulotte Optimum 8 slab electric scissor lift trapping him against the controls.

We understand that he was working alone and unable to lower the platform and as a result suffocated.
