UK tower crane sales and rental company Falcon Cranes has extended and updated its training centre.
The upgraded facility includes a refurbished training yard with three permanent training cranes - a luffer, a hammerhead and a self-erector - along with an all new office building containing four training rooms with the latest audio visual technology providing improved facilities for both theoretical and practical learning.
The training centre can now offer a wider range of lifting operations courses - both in-house and to the Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) standard.
Other courses include (with more being added all the time):
-Work at Height
-Abrasive Wheels
-Manual Handling
-CPCS Plant Operative Health, Safety and Environment Test
-CPCS Competence Interview
The company said: “With three dedicated cranes permanently in our training yard, it eliminates the need to wait for a crane to become available on an external site. We carry out training 51 weeks of the year where learners can gain hands-on experience operating the different types of cranes in a safe yet realistic environment practicing their skills, strengthen their techniques, and build confidence.”
