Record Turkish lift and shift

Turkish heavy lift and haulage company Hareket Heavy Lifting & Project Transportation has successfully completed the load out operation of the 10,350 tonne "De Transporter" ship from the floating dock at Tersan Yalova Shipyard, near Istanbul, setting a new record for the heaviest single load transportation in Turkey. The previous record was set by Hareket in 2020.

The 180 metre long, 27 metre wide ship was moved 500 metres from the dock to the shipyard area using a total of 317 axle SPMTs and hydraulic modular trailers.

and then the boat is driven from the floating dock onto dry land

General manager Abdullah Altunkum said: “We broke new ground in Turkey in September 2020, again at Tersan, by loading two passenger ships, each weighing 6,200 tons, into the floating dock at the shipyard. At the time this was Turkey's largest heavy lifting and transport operation. This year, we broke our own record with the two day operation, once again demonstrating our strength in the sector”.
