Launched at Bauma, the eight axle crane is available with both a 54 and 80 metre telescopic boom, and features a luffing jib ranging from 21 to 91 metres. The company is planning to use its new crane for a wide range of applications in industry, construction and infrastructure projects.

Friderici ordered the crane at Bauma

General manager Jean-Paul Friderici said: “The lifting capacity and radius requirements of our market are increasing. That is why we are investing in a more powerful mobile crane. The LTM 1650-8.1 is revolutionary, a very innovative crane. Its enormous capacity on eight axles totally convinced us. We have also had a good deal of positive experience with the LTM 1500-8.1. We have great confidence that Liebherr has launched yet another outstanding crane in the form of the LTM 1650-8.1.”

“We have been working with Liebherr mobile cranes for 55 years and are very satisfied. Their resale prices are good and stable. Liebherr’s reliable aftersales service is another important criterion for us.”

Established in the late 19th century, Friderici operates from two locations in Tolochenaz and Vernier. The family run company purchased its first crane in 1961, employs 160 and runs a fleet of 18 All Terrain cranes.
