New MD for Kramer

Wacker Neuson has confirmed Christian Stryffeler as geschäftsführer/managing director – of its Kramer business. He will officially take over from Karl Friedrich Hauri when he retires in July, after 20 years with the company.

Stryffeler joined Kramer in January, after three years as chief commercial officer with Swiss company Aebi Schmidt. Prior to that Stryffeler spent more than 10 years as a vice president of Amman, followed by a brief spell as chief executive of Mecalec.

He began his career as an R&D chemist with Munitions Fabrick Thun, in 1989, moving to Novartis as head of education a year later. In 2000 he was appointed as a business unit director at Aprentas, leaving to join Amman at the end of 2004.

Kramer builds a range of telehanders which are sold under as under both the Kramer and Wacker Neuson brands. Kramer also unveiled the 8145T telescopic wheeled loader at bauma in the nine to 11 tonne class.
