UK rental company Lee Lifting Services has taken delivery of an eight tonne Liebherr MK 140 self erecting mobile tower crane.
The five axle MK 140 can handle its nominal capacity at up to 12 metres radius, and offers a 1,900kg jib tip capacity at radius of 58.5 metres with the jib in horizontal ‘trolley’ configuration, while it can also be used in a longer full luffing mode with a luffing range from 20 to 70 degrees, achieving a maximum hook height of 94.4 metres and a maximum radius of 65 metres with a 1,000kg capacity. It is the company’s first Liebherr tower crane.
Director Jody Whitmore said: “We are delighted to add the Liebherr MK 140 to our fleet. With its range of operating configurations, we expect it will not only complement our current fleet but enable the business to expand into new areas where mobile tower cranes are becoming the machine of choice.”
Established in 1981, Lee Lifting is based in Feltham, Middlesex, south east England. The company runs a fleet of All Terrain, city type and loader cranes ranging from 10 to 220 tonnes. Over the years it has built a reputation for supplying a crane service to the film and television industry.
