Marmon acquires Joyce Crane

Chicago's Marmon Crane Services has acquired Joyce Crane rental of Longview, Texas from owner Joe Bob Joyce.

Established in 1985 Joyce Crane operates from four locations in Longview, Texas, plus Bosier City and West Monroe in Louisiana and Little Rock, Arkansas. It provides heavy lifting and rigging to customers ranging from refineries to petrochemical, power and manufacturing plants. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Joyce will continue to operate as a stand alone business, with Joe Bob Joyce remaining on board and supported by the management team from Marmon, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway.

Marmon Crane Services, began with Sterling crane runs a fleet of around 1,200 mobile cranes, topped by an Liebherr 750 tonne LTM 1750-9.1 and operates through companies that include Procrane and Sterling Crane in Canada and the United States, Advantage Crane of Victoria, British Columbia, Freo Group of Kwinana, Western Australia and WGC Cranes, of Wollongong, New South Wales.
