US rental company Trand has taken delivery of a 750 tonne Liebherr LG 1750 lattice boom truck crane, the first in the USA.

The eight axle LG 1750 is specifically designed to meet wind turbine erection requirements and has the option of an SX2 boom configuration and heavy duty jib for high lift capacities at hook heights of up to 175 metres. Maximum tip height with luffing jib is 200 metres.

Liebherr product manager for crawler cranes Jim Strobush said: “Recent engineering modifications to the axle configurations make the LG 1750 much more roadable in the US. And increased turbine height and weight make it a crane that will be productive today and in the future.”
