Charles Banks 1940 – 2019

We have received the sad news that UK crane industry veteran Charlie Banks, managing director of UK based Mobile Telescopic Cranes passed away on Monday. He was 78.

Banks entered the crane industry as a tower crane operator for Seddons in the early 1980s, later moving over to mobile cranes, joining rental company Roadcraft at its Stoke-on-Trent depot, where he eventually became depot manager. In 1986 he set up Mobile Telescopic Cranes, starting with just one crane. In 1998 he acquired Hancock Machinery Removals, which he managed alongside MTC.

Lovely man Charlie, met him in his days at Lancastrian (Roadcraft) in Stoke on Trent. Condolences to all his family.

They don't make them like Charlie any more.

Charlie Was born the same year as I. This closeness in time makes me take time to ponder we never know the day and the hour life will end. My condolences to Mrs. Banks and family.
