Non exec for Kennards

6. February 2019 | Comments (0)

Australia’s Kennards Hire has appointed Nicki Page as a non-executive director, taking the board to seven directors.

Page currently works as an independent business advisor and is a non-executive director for Gymnastics Australia. She was previously chief executive of Microsoft partner MOQ, having joined the company when it was created out of the merger of Breeze and Technology Effect and its acquisition by Montech Holdings in 2015. She had previously been chief executive of Breeze, a job she held for six years having joined the business in 2009.

Born and educated in the UK she started out as an IT engineer and worked as a business partner with IBM, before being lured to Australia in 1996 by a relatively small IT company KAZ as a technical consultant, and later becoming technical manager. Then in 2003 she joined Microsoft as a readiness specialist, leaving the company at the end of 2008 to join Breeze.

Speaking of her appointment she said: “I am delighted to be joining the board of Kennards Hire, an iconic Australian family business with an exceptional values led culture. From the board level down, they recognise and understand the value of digital transformation and are embedding this across all areas of the business. I look forward to contributing to the team.”

Chairman Brendan Fleiter added: “The family, board and I are very pleased to welcome Nicki to Kennards Hire. She has substantial experience in the field of IT, particularly in cloud integration and IoT. As the equipment industry moves into this space, Nicki’s expertise will be a positive asset to the business. Her experience in agile, scalable cloud solutions will provide great insight and help strengthen our position as a market innovator.”
