Kennards opens pop up depot

Australia’s Kennards Hire has opened another ‘pop up’ branch in Heatherbrae, New South Wales.

Located on the Pacific Highway route between Sydney and Brisbane, the depot is the company’s fourth in the Greater Newcastle and Lower Hunter Valley areas, and offers a range of equipment suited to local government depots and trade professionals in the area. It has been built from 20ft shipping containers, and includes a service bay, equipment storage, a modular wash bay and a customer area.

It is Kennards’ second pop up branch, the first is located in Hornby, eastern New Zealand. The Heatherbrae branch is Kennards’ 53rd branch in New South Wales and the 180th branch in its network. The company says it has opened the new facility to offer an improved service in the greater Newcastle region, and as part of its commitment to innovation and sustainability. It will be managed by Darren Pring, with Paul Gill as duty manager and Bryan Gray as serviceperson driver.

Pring said: “The pop up location at Heatherbrae represents true innovation from Kennards Hire. It’s great to work for a company that sees opportunity and is prepared to act on it. To watch the branch come together according to plan was awesome to see. We’ve got some pretty talented people in our business and they put together our new branch like it was Lego.”
