Comansa upgrades 21LC660 and 21LC750

Spanish tower crane manufacturer Comansa has upgraded its 21LC660 and 21LC750 flat top tower cranes.

The 24, 36 and 48 tonne capacity versions of the cranes have been increased to 25, 37.5 and 50 tonnes respectively, by adopting the technology introduced with the new 21LC1050, including a smaller diameter compacted wire rope, and a lighter trolley/hook set, which improves the capacities at all radii, including the maximum load at the jib tip. The new 21LC660 and 21LC750 also feature the new modular counter jibs, allowing for a reduced radius, for example when the 21LC750 crane is erected with a 50 metre jib, the radius is 25 metres instead of 31 metres. An optional 90 metre jib will also be available for special applications. Both cranes also feature the latest Cube cab with fully glazed front as standard.

The 21LC750 and the 21LC660 – with the exception of the 20 tonne version - now feature an optional hoist mechanisms allowing for speeds of up to 300 metres a minute, along with Comansa’s Effi-Plus high speed hoist mechanism, which increases the hoist speed by a further 15 percent when lifting lighter loads. Both options have a wire rope capacity of 720 or 1,570 metres.

Finally the 21LC750 now uses the 2.5 metre D36B tower as standard. The new sections are fully compatible with the D36, the current standard tower section, which is being discontinued.
