4. October 2018 | Comments (0)

Kuwaiti contractor, trading and civil engineering company Al Kulaib International Trading has taken delivery of a 130 tonne five axle Tadano ATF 130G-5.

The 130 is the eighth new Tadano crane delivered so far this year, the others include a 180 tonne five axle ATF 180G-5 and four axle 100 tonne ATF 100G-4 All Terrains, three Rough Terrain cranes - an 80 tonne GR-800EX and two 50 tonne GR-500EXL, and two 60 tonne GT-600EL truck cranes. All of the cranes were purchase through local distributor Abdulmohsen Abdulaziz Al-Babtain.

The new cranes join the 40 crane fleet of the group’s Technical Services & Heavy Equipment division which rents cranes, boom trucks, trailers and generators while also providing manpower.

The cranes also make Al Kulaib self sufficient in terms of lifting equipment for its own projects. Managing director Muzamil Malik said: “We chose Tadano first of all because we have good very good relations with the Tadano representative, Al-Babtain, and undoubtedly Tadano is a well-known brand in the Middle East. Most of the companies prefer to have either Tadano or other Japanese cranes."

"To be more specific, we prefer Tadano cranes because of their durability, affordable maintenance cost and good reselling price. Our operators are well trained to operate these cranes, our mechanical team is well versed with the technicality of Tadano cranes; and parts are also easily available in Kuwait."
