On the ledge

A reader in the UK spotted a man working on replacing a double glazed window unit on the first floor of a building in Islington, London last weekend, with little consideration for the risks.

Spotted from the car - a man on the edge ....ledge

While not looking like the most athletic of glaziers, he has climbed out onto the narrow ledge that is made up of shop front fascia. He then proceeds to work at it with little care for the risks involved. He could possibly have managed the job from inside but leaning out? Or from a ladder, tower or platform, or organised some form of harness etc…

He seems oblivious to the passing traffic, or risk should the glass come away easier then thought

But no, he works away as traffic passes, apparently oblivious to the fact that one slip or if the glass pulls away more suddenly than expected and he will be on the pavement/sidewalk below, possibly landing on some poor passer seriously injuring or traumatising them. Hopefully he completed the job without incident.

A closer look

Definitely one for our Death Wish series.

Have a safe weekend.
