Riwal switches to GTL fuel

11. October 2018 | Comments (0)

Riwal has announced that it is switching to Shell GTL (Gas To Liquids) fuel in the Netherlands.

Shell GTL Fuel is made from natural gas and is said to burn cleaner than conventional diesel, resulting in lower emissions of particulate matter, sulphur and nitrogen oxides. The fuel is also odourless and biodegradable. Riwal says it wants to contribute to the improvement of local air quality and the wellbeing of its employees and their working environment. In cooperation with Shell, all Riwal diesel equipment in the Netherlands will be provided with Shell GTL fuel.

Country manager Johan van Klinken said: “With this alternative fuel, Riwal is contributing to a healthier working environment. We believe in this product and we would like all our customers to benefit from it. Our ultimate goal is to offer our customers the greenest access fleet in the Netherlands.”

Shell Fleet Solutions account manager Martijn van Winsen added: “We are very proud of the cooperation with Riwal and their step towards a more sustainable future together with Shell GTL fuel.”
