New MD for Nationwide

UK rental company Nationwide Platforms has announced that Colin Hotchkiss will take over as managing director at the end of the year, replacing Wayne Smith who left earlier this year.

Following Smith’s departure, Phil Wainwright became interim managing director. When Hotchkiss takes on his new role, Wainwright will move to an executive role at parent company Loxam.

Hotchkiss is currently managing director of Garic, a UK supplier in the rental and sales of welfare and accommodation products and services, where he has been for three years. Prior to that he spent eight years with Finning UK as divisional general manager for power systems. He began his career in 1992 as graduate trainee at Scottish Amicable, before being promoted to network analyst. Two years later he joined Inchcape in Dubai as manager for business systems and processes. In 1999 he became consulting manager at Kurt Salmon Associates, moving to Hewden Stuart five years later, where he was head of business process and systems alter taking on the role at Finning UK.
