Custom expands sales team

US based scissor lift manufacturer Custom Equipment has appointed Dave Sluis as southeast USA territory manager.

Sluis joins Custom Equipment from material handling and warehouse solutions provider LiftOne, where he was account manager for a year and a half. Prior to that he was territory manager at Southeast Industrial Equipment.

He began his career as a member of the US army, enlisting in 1998 and leaving four years later as 19D cavalry scout to become a refrigeration technician, moving to YRC Freight in 2006 as a dock supervisor, a position he held until joining Southeast in 2015.

The new appointment follows Custom's recent addition of Norman Waterman as Northeast U.S. territory manager.

Sluis said: “I am very proud to be a part of such a great team at Custom Equipment. I am excited to be in the Southeast where there is a great opportunity to present Hy-Brid Lifts to a booming economy.”

Vice president of sales Dan Schneider added: “There is a lot of growth happening in that part of the county. Dave’s experience in this industry and strong leadership abilities are just what we need to ensure we’re meeting the needs of contractors in that area.”
