Another German acquisition for Kiloutou

French international rental company Kiloutou has acquired German aerial lift rental company GL Verleih NRW.

The acquisition of Cologne based GL comes just a few weeks after it acquired the Butsch-Meier group in Baden-Baden. See Kiloutou takes Butsch & Meier
GL’s depot is located on the north side of the city, with 18 employees and a fleet of just over a hundred work platforms, including booms, scissor lifts, spider lifts, mast booms and truck mounted platforms with working heights of up to 70 metres. The depot, employees and the management team will be integrated into Kiloutou’s Starlift network and will adopt the Starlift brand. GL Verleih Arbeitsbühnen in Kelkheim, which serves the Rhine-Main region, is not included in this deal.

Kiloutou chief executive Olivier Colleau said: "This acquisition is fully in line with our expansion strategy in Germany, with which we want to expand our position in new regions with high potential. It demonstrates once again our ability to bring together high quality regional actors of all sizes for our development project. With this approach, we hope to soon be able to cover most of Germany through new acquisitions. I would like to welcome the 18 employees and managing directors of GL Verleih NRW to the Kiloutou group."

GL Verleih chairman and owner Achim Seuren added: "We are delighted that Kiloutou has taken over the business. It enables our company to join an up and coming group and to contribute our knowledge of the Cologne market with its strong potential. We personally believe in Kiloutou's development project, and its decision to support us by retaining the management, which will benefit from new resources and an extensive programme of working platforms".
